Reconstructing large scales at cosmic dawn

چکیده
The cosmic microwave background (CMB) serves as a backlight to large-scale structure during the epoch of reionization, where Thomson scattering gives rise temperature anisotropies on small angular scales from kinetic Sunyaev Zel'dovich (kSZ) effect. In this paper, we demonstrate that technique kSZ tomography (velocity reconstruction), based cross correlations between CMB and 21cm surveys, can significantly improve constraints models inhomogeneous reionization provide information about modes are poorly characterized by measurements themselves due foreground contamination.

Reconstructing Supersymmetric Theories at High Energy Scales
We have studied the reconstruction of supersymmetric theories at high scales by evolving the fundamental parameters from the electroweak scale upwards. Universal minimal supergravity and gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking have been taken as representative alternatives. Pseudo-fixed point structures require the low–energy boundary values to be measured with high precision. 1. Supersymmetric t...
متن کاملSupersymmetry at Large Distance Scales
We propose that the UV/IR relation that underlies the AdS/CFT duality may provide a natural mechanism by which high energy supersymmetry can have large distance consequences. We motivate this idea via (a string realization of) the Randall-Sundrum scenario, in which the observable matter is localized on a matter brane separate from the Planck brane. As suggested via the holographic interpretatio...
متن کاملCosmic Shock Waves on Large Scales of the Universe
In the standard theory of the large scale structure formation, matter accretes onto high density perturbations via gravitational instability. Collisionless dark matter forms caustics around such structures, while collisional baryonic matter forms accretion shocks which then halt and heat the infalling gas. Here, we discuss the characteristics, roles, and observational consequences of these accr...
متن کاملSimulating Cosmic Reionization at Large Scales I: the Geometry of Reionization
We present the first large-scale radiative transfer simulations of cosmic reionization, in a simulation volume of (100 hMpc). This is more than a 2 orders of magnitude improvement over previous simulations. We achieve this by combining the results from extremely large, cosmological, N-body simulations with a new, fast and efficient code for 3D radiative transfer, C-Ray, which we have recently d...
متن کاملSimulating Cosmic Reionization at Large Scales II: the 21-cm Emission Features and Statistical Signals
We present detailed predictions for the redshifted 21cm signal from the epoch of reionization. These predictions are obtained from radiative transfer calculations on the results of large scale (100/h Mpc), high dynamic range, cosmological simulations. We consider several scenarios for the reionization history, of both early and extended reionization. From the simulations we construct and analyz...
